Greek police searching for missing UK scientist Natalie Christopher say they have found her body

Greek police searching for missing UK scientist Natalie Christopher told Euronews they have found her body.

It was found in a ravine about 20 metres deep in a rough mountainous area of Kerame on the Greek island of Ikaria.

Authorities are waiting for the cause of her death to be determined by a coroner.

The British-Cypriot was reported missing on Monday by her 38-year-old partner after she failed to return from a morning run.

The couple was staying at a hotel near the village of Kerame and had been due to fly to Cyprus via Athens on Monday evening.

According to his police statement, he awoke to find she was not in the room. He contacted her and she informed him she had gone jogging.

The Minister of Justice and Public Order in Cyprus, George L Savvides, said that his Greek counterpart had informed him the authorities had found Christopher's body.
