Russian-born actor, Anton Yelchin, best known for playing Chekov in the new Star Trek flims has been killed following a freak car accident at his home in Los Angeles.
Police say Yelchin’s own vehicle struck him after rolling backwards down his steep driveway crushing him against a postbox and security fence.
Star Trek’s official Twitter account paid tribute to the 27-year-old actor’s death.
