The notorious football career of Jack Warner is over with FIFA imposing a life ban on the 72 year-old.

He was indicted in May in the USA along with 14 other football and sports marketing executives on counts of bribery, money laundering, and wire fraud worth more than 133 million euros.

FIFA’s ethics committee says the ban is based on an inquiry into the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, which went to Russia and Qatar. Warner was a member of the Executive Committee that made the choice, along with President Sepp Blatter, who is now under investigation in Switzerland, FIFA’s home.

The verdict on Warner was that he had committed “many and various acts of misconduct continuously
and repeatedly” in his 28 years at the top of world football.
