Outgoing FIFA President Sepp Blatter cut short a press conference after a protester approached him as he arrived on stage and showered him with fake

Outgoing FIFA President Sepp Blatter cut short a press conference after a protester approached him as he arrived on stage and showered him with fake dollar notes.

Blatter, visibly furious, asked his security detail to expel the man, believed to be British comedian Simon Brodkin.

Brodkin, who was apparently ‘in character’ as Lee Nelson, had played a similar prank on Kanye West at the Glastonbury music festival in the UK last month (see below).

Blatter was speaking to announce reforms of the organisation and to confirm a special FIFA congress on February 26, 2016 at which his successor is to be elected. He stood down as head of world football’s governing body earlier this year amid revelations of widespread corruption at FIFA. Blatter denies all allegations against him.
