These are the celebatory moments after more than 200 sub-Saharan migrants scaled a border fence at Spain’s north African enclave of Melilla.

The city, which shares a border with Morroco and is part of the European Union, is reportedly under considerable pressure from migrants.

The footage, below, shows migrants running through the streets and celebrating as they made their way to the overcrowded Melilla migration reception centre. They are however, likely to be expelled.

It comes after 14 migrants drowned when hundreds tried to swim to Ceuta, another Spanish city in North Africa.
