Cardinals gathered at the Vatican have announced Saturday at 10am as the day and time for Pope Francis' funeral.

Throughout Monday evening and into Tuesday, people continued gathering in St. Peter's Square following the pope's death.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 am, a date confirmed by the College of Cardinals during their meeting at the Vatican on Tuesday.

Also, speculation is mounting over who could become the next pontiff, and therefore determine the future of the Roman Catholic Church.
