Enthusiasts of fine quality timepieces can indulge their passion at the annual luxury watch fair in Geneva, the SIHH, which gathers together 35 of the most prestigious watch makers in the world.
After a prolonged slump in this high-end market, the organisers are hoping for an upturn in 2018.

"For the last two years we've been in a period of consolidation, a slowdown," said Fabienne Lupo, SIHH president. "In 2017 we saw the year close with a growth of 3-3.5 percent in the export of Swiss watches and 2018 should follow this trend."
Saddlery and silk house, Hermes is among the newcomers at this year's fair which is seen as an indicator of what trends are shaping the market.
There's an interesting selection including a watch by Van Cleef & Arpels which tracks the movement of the planets around the sun and costs as much as 245,000 euros.
