Tiny rodent shivered in the raw before an intervention by a rescue worker saved the day.

A naked hamster has been spared her blushes by a thoughtful animal sanctuary worker in the US.

One-year-old Silky was born with a rare genetic disorder meaning she has no fur.

The tiny rodent shivered in the raw until a helper at the Oregon Humane Society came up with a bright idea – and crocheted her a tiny cardigan.

Silky is now woolly happy – even more so, as she has been found a new home!
