One Malaysian and seven Australians have been charged with importing drugs and trafficking offences in connection with the haul of crystal meth.

Australian police have charged eight people after 275 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were seized in the state of Victoria.

Hidden under the floorboards and metal pallets of three shipping containers from China in June, according to local media.
