‘Wanda City’ in the southeastern city of Nanchang is a three billion euro entertainment complex with an emphasis on Chinese culture.
The billionaire head of China’s Wanda Group, Wang Jianlin, claimed in a wide-ranging interview earlier this month that Disney faces hurdles to win over consumers to its key animation characters.
“We still haven’t seen a real craze here or a generation blindly following Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck,” Wang said.
