Demanding more rights for refugees and asylum seekers in Europe.

Around two thousand barefoot migrants and volunteers have taken to the streets of Rome to get their message across.

“No borders” was one of the slogans that was yelled during the demonstration.

“You cannot close your borders,” said Oulu Ghetta, an Eritrean refugee, who took part.

Hundreds of demonstrators also marched to the Venice Film Festival’s Palace of Cinema with nothing on their feet.
